Our fruit and flavor extracts work great added to beer, wine, mead or homemade soda-pops. They come in different sizes and different concentrations, but - basically - each vial is good for one five gallon batch. If you are looking for a more delicate flavor, you can add 1/4 to 1/2 a vial, if you are looking for a more intense flavor, use can add two vials to each five gallons.

The best time to add the flavor concentrate is right before bottling. These extracts have no sugar, so there is no fermentable component and will not affect carbonation levels. Beermakers should add the flavoring at the same time as the corn sugar (at bottling time) or directly into a Cornelius keg. Wine and meadmakers should add the flavorings into the clarified wine right before bottling and corking. This preserves the intensity and gives the freshest, deepest flavors to the product.

Fruit/Flavor Extract Comments Price
Apricot One of our favorites! This is probably the nicest of the fruit extracts, but also very delicate. Use 1.5 vials per 5 gallons of beer for best effect $5.00/vial
$8.50/2 vials
Apple Very "green apple" flavor and aroma. Use it to accentuate hard ciders, apple wines and apple meads, and bring out "lost" flavor and aroma. $5.00/vial
Blackberry This is an OK flavor. We have found it works great in blackberry wines and meads, but is not ultra-loved by brewers who add it to their beers. $5.00/vial
Blueberry This is a pretty good flavor. Again, great for bringing out flavors in blueberry wines and meads, and I had a great blueberry porter that was made with this flavoring, but not typically raved about by beermakers. $5.00/vial
Boysenberry One of the most popular. For beermakers, this tends to be much more loved than either Blackberry or Blueberry. Boysen leaves a very nice berry finish on beer. $5.00/vial
Cranberry Adds good flavor and aroma to beer, but is best used in conjunction with fresh cranberries (which add tartness). We have a great Cranberry Ale, perfect for Thanksgiving. $5.00/vial
Cherry Questionable. Adds a noticeable "artificial cherry" cough syrup flavor. Use at your own risk. $5.00/vial
Hazelnut Very nice, but very powerful! Use 1 to 4 teaspoons per 5 gallons to beer, no more! Adds a great nuttiness to porters and browns. $5.00/vial
Mango Questionable. Have yet to meet a customer who enjoyed the flavor of this one. Good for experimentation, at best. $5.00/vial
Peach One of my favorites, but I love peaches. Nice flavor and aroma. More powerful than the Apricot, use 1 vial per 5 gallons. $5.00/vial
Raspberry Our biggest seller. Great for Raspberry Ales, Ruby-styles and also adding to Raspberry Wines and Meads. One vial per 5 gallons gives a fairly strong effect. $5.00/vial
Strawberry We get mixed opinions on this. Some customers love the effect in their beers, some think it is too light and delicate. It adds more aroma than flavor. $6.50/vial
