Malt Extracts

We, here at mainbrew, do not like to see cans of malt extract. We find that too often they are outdated (even by the time they arrive to us from the wholesalers) and they are often more expensive than what we sell "in bulk." Bulk extract comes to us in 55 gallon drums, and thus we can sell it cheaper and faster than trying to go through many little and expensive printed cans of pre-hopped syrup. We go through quite a few drums of malt per month, so our extracts are always fresh. Our normal drums of extract are:

If you come in with no bucket, the price of all of these unhopped bulk malt extracts are $2.40 per pound and we will fill up one of our white malt buckets. We can weigh out as much as you need, from one pound to hundreds

.

If you bring in one of our containers (or any of your own containers) for a refill, the price drops to $2.15 per pound.

We also sell 5-gallon buckets of extract (which hold 60 pounds) for $110.00, and this includes a 6-gallon fermenting bucket to boot (once you use up all of the extract!). We recommend you store liquid malt extract in a cool place, and use it up within a few months.

We also carry dried (powdered) malt extracts (DME):

The price of these dried malt extracts (except the Extra-Light) are:

The Extra-Light DME is $4.95 per pound, $12.95 per 3 pounds, and $24.95 per 6 pounds.
