We, here at mainbrew, do not like to see *cans* of malt extract. We find that too often they are outdated (even by the time they arrive to us from the wholesalers) and they are often more expensive than what we sell "in bulk." Bulk extract comes to us in 55 gallon drums, and thus we can sell it cheaper and faster than trying to go through many little and expensive printed cans of pre-hopped syrup. We go through quite five to seven drums of malt per month, so our extracts are always fresh. Our in-stock drums of malt extract are:
We sell only high-quality Breiss malt extracts. There are other less-expensive malt extracts out there that we do not feel produce the best quality beer. We do not sell them, and we do not believe you should buy them. We have been in business since 1991 and we *want* you to brew great beer. It's how we stay in business.
We also sell our malt extract very quickly. It is not uncommon for us to drain a drum of malt extract in seven to ten days, sometimes less. This keeps it fresh for you. You are guaranteed to not be buying malt extract that has been sitting around in a store for two to three months, or who knows how long. Turn-over is the key to fresh-tasting beer. Be sure you are buying fresh extract.
