Bottle Caps and Screw Tops

Main Street stocks many different kinds of bottle caps. Our basic beer bottle cap comes in assorted colors. We rotate between about eight or ten different colored caps, usually keeping a gold or silver in stock most of the time. On any given day we may have a green, light blue, dark blue, red, silver, gold or black bottle cap; we also have "red and white" wavy caps, and "white stars on dark blue" caps, which we sell together as our "flag" Fourth of July caps. We usually stock six or seven different colors at any given time. We're sorry, we cannot guarantee sending or having in stock any given color due to our ever changing rotation, but feel free to ask for one if desired. We'll do our best.

Main Street also stocks oxygen-absorbing bottle caps. These are a higher-quality cap because (once they are wet down) they absorb the oxygen out of the head space of the bottle. This protects the beer from damage, as well as provides a tighter seal against the outside world. We have a rotating selection of brand new over-run (printed with the name of a brewery) caps, as well as unmarked, gold (non-over-run) ones. Both of these caps CANNOT be boiled, but must be sterilized with a chemical solution such as bleach or iodophor, and then rinsed off. The soaking and rinsing begins the absorption process.

Main Street also stock twist-off plastic and/or metal screw top bottle caps. These are NOT typically used for beer, but can be used for several of the bottle varieties that we stock, plus for your own one and two-liter pop bottles as well. From what I have seen, most bottle manufacturers today use a standard thread for all the bottles Out There - these caps should fit most any modern, American bottle with a screw top that you can find.
