BELGIAN ALES

St. Limulus: A high-gravity (high alcohol) Belgian Trappist style, this beer is very similar to some of the imported Belgian Abbey beers that you see selling for six or seven dollars apiece. Using "candi sugar" as a (necessary) adjunct, this beer's flavor can fluctuate greatly depending on what temperature it is fermented at. Full instructions included. PRICE: $44.00 (Liquid yeast included in price.)
Dubbel Trouble: Belgian dubbels are strong, malty brown beers that have a balanced hoppiness along with that definite Belgian "spiciness" which arises from the exotic yeasts used. This beer - as most Belgian styles - takes some aging, but this is a sure winner for those that like that one-of-a-kind fresh Belgian taste in an everyday type of drinker. PRICE: $40.00 (Liquid yeast included in price.)
San Tropez Trippel: A very light-colored, light-bodied beer, San Tropez also clocks in at close to 8.5% alcohol!! Not as wildly spicy as some of the other Belgian recipes, this is a deceptively easy-to-drink brew, but please drink it at home, or in the safety of a designated driver's care because it has "kick." (And it does go down as easy as Coors!!) This beer will take three to six months to really hit its stride. PRICE: $49.00. (Liquid yeast included in price.)
Le Bete d'Ete Saison: A great summer light-bodied golden style, this beer has about six percent alcohol, but a dry light finish. Using spices and a special yeast strain, saisons are NOT your normal golden ale, but a beer that you will want to brew every summer once you sample it. PRICE: $43.00 (Liquid yeast included in price.)
