FRUIT ALES

Calliope Fruit Wheat Beer: The perfect summer all-purpose fruit ale, great for "the ladies" or for just slurping down on a hot afternoon after mowing the lawn. Fermented wheat adds a sour, "tangy" flavor to beer which blends remarkably well with fruit flavors to make a not-to-be-missed combination. Not to be missed. (Did I just say that?) Please specify Raspberry, Boysenberry, Peach, or Apricot. PRICE: $33.00
Kaleidoscope Fruit Blonde: Without the wheat (as the recipe above), fruit ales done with barley alone tend to not have the "tangy" flavors of the wheat, but more of a delicate barley malt sweetness. Another great variation on the fruit-theme, this beer also should not be missed. My customers tend to do equal amounts of this and Calliope, and they love both with a passion. Please specify Raspberry, Boysenberry, Peach or Apricot. PRICE: $33.00
Raspberry Porter: Take a nice caramel-tasting chocolaty porter (not too bitter) and add a healthy dose of raspberry flavors, and what do you have? Perhaps the ultimate "dessert" beer, perfect for sipping after dinner during the hot weather of summer - or even the cold nights of winter. A great flavor combination!! Price: $34.00
Cranberry Wheat: Take that tangy wheat effect (mentioned above) and add in cranberries and this beer is the ULTIMATE Thanksgiving and Christmas quaffer. Even people that don't like beer will down this one, but it has the appeal of the beer enthusiast as well. Cranberry extract included, but I recommend 3 to 4 pounds of fresh cranberries as well. Instructions included. PRICE: $30.00
Lemonhead Wheat Ale: Again: another wheat-based fruit ale, but this one uses lemons from your own house to make a memorable summer ale. It's not lemonade, but it seems to appeal to as many people - this is a thirst-quenching hot-weather beer: golden blonde and light-bodied with a great citrusy aroma and "zing." PRICE: $30.00 (You need three to four lemons, as well. - Instructions included.)
