Please note: to be true-to-style, lagers need to be fermented between 42 and 55 degrees F., and then aged in a cold spot for at least three to six weeks after fermentation is finished. These beers can take up to three or four moths before they are consumed. For detailed info, please see our info page.

LAGERS

American Pilsner: A dry, crisp, golden American style "domestic" beer. For those that scoff, know this: these beers developed in the US for a reason: they are thirst-quenching and pretty darn good on a hot day with a lawnmower in your hand. More flavorful than Budweiser, this beer is a good beer to impress your friends that think real beer has to come out of a can. PRICE: $29.00
Czech It Out Pils: Another golden-yellow smooth lager, but this one has more malt body and flavor (it is less dry!) than the American style. It also has more bitterness (from the classic Saaz variety hybrid) and more hop flavor and aroma. Compare it favorably to a nice fresh Urquell that hasn't gone stale on its way from Czechoslavakia.
PRICE: $34.00
Hunt for Red Oktoberfest: Put on your lederhosen and get ready to do the chicken dance: this is the real thing. Malty, rich and coppery red, but balanced with a dry body and moderate hops, this is a full-flavored red lager, perfect for Fall afternoons, Thanksgiving dinner or just for those that like a little bit of equality in their beer.
PRICE: $36.00
Bock In The Saddle: Malt, malt and malt. This is a 5% alcohol malty, brownish red lager with just a hint of sweetness. Hops are there to keep it from being too heavy, but this is for the person that like a malt-based beer. Full-bodied, but not too much (see the next one!), if you like bitter beers, keep away from this puppy.
PRICE: $34.00
Double Bock: One of the kings of malty beers, this is a strong, rich, residually sweet, 8% alcohol ultra-smooth lager. With the kick of a billygoat, this beer is filled with nuanced malt and nut flavors, sweet aftertastes, and smooth silkiness. Not for the faint-of-heart, or for drinking on your lunch hour from the forklift job, this is a beer that will age gracefully for one year or more.
PRICE: $48.00
MaiBock: A light colored golden bock beer. Who would have thunk it? The Germans sure did and made it perfectly balanced, as is this recipe. Lots of malt, but not sweet, this is a beer to brew up in the Winter months and then crack up in early Spring, as the Germans traditionally do. Although who would turn down a MaiBock any other day of the year? Not me. PRICE: $36.00
