WHEAT ALES

Guntherweisse, A German-style Hefeweizen: This is the classic German import, similar to Spaten or Paulaner. Full of clove-like and banana flavors and aromas, this is definitely NOT your classic American style wheat. If you've ever been to Germany, lived in Germany or ever really wanted to do either, this is your best chance of bringing that great flavor right into your home.
PRICE: $34.00 (Liquid yeast is required and included in this price.)
Stars and Stripes Hefeweizen: On the other side of the coin, this is the classic American-style wheat beer. With more citrusy hops (from the Cascade variety), this beer has a cleaner, less clove-y flavor than the German beer, and will appeal to almost everybody at that barbecue or picnic this summer. A great tangy thirst-quencher, this is a wonderful hot-weather drinking beer. PRICE: $29.00
Kev's Dunkelweiss: Take the grains of a porter and mix it with the base flavors of a wheat beer and what do you have? A great fall and winter dark, chocolate-tasting brew that still has the easy-drinkability of a wheat beer. This is my classic autumn mix and is perfect for those that want to slowly transition from the wheat beers of summer into the stouts of winter. (It also has extra malt for a higher-than-normal alcohol level and a richer, heartier body.) PRICE: $33.00
Nightfall Amberweiss: Take a wheat beer and add a nice handful of dark crystal, caramel-rich grains. Hop it up a little extra to keep that perfect balance and you have a wheat beer with "ooompphhh." Extra malty, and with a beautiful amber/copper color, this is still an easy-drinker, but one that makes you contemplate its beauty just a little more carefully. A great all-purpose beer that will appeal to everyone. PRICE: $31.00
"Calamity-Now" Belgian Wit: OK, no beer is better in the summer. Period. This is a wheat beer with the subtle spices of coriander and orange peel, a yeast strain that adds a wonderful "perfume" character and a tart sour little edge that makes it go down as smooth as lemonade. A winner of many awards, this beer is also a fast maturer and will be ready to drink in only a few weeks. I cannot say enough about it: I love it.
Please request if you want it "sour/tart" or "standard."
PRICE (Includes special liquid yeast): $41.00
