The "Saturday Selection:" new bottled beers in the cooler this week.

(1) Upright Brewing's "Bad Brains," their first true lager amde as a dark pilsner-style (maybe a schwarzbier?)

(2) Mikkeller's "Invasion Farmhouse IPA," brewed with Brettanomyces yeast

(3) John Courage "Russian Imperial Stout," (the original Russian Imperial!) brewed only once a year exactly as it was made for Catherine the Gr
eat in 1795

(4) Don De Dieu Triple Wheat, a Belgian-style wheat brewed in Canada

(5) Bridgeport's "Old Knucklehead" barleywine, aged in oak and a bargain at $5.85 per 22-ounce bottle

(6) Stone's "Double Bastard," (say no more...)

(7) Alameda's "Papa Noel," Olde Ale, their new winter seasonal release

(8) Oakshire's "Big Black Jack," Imperial Chocolate Pumpkin Porter

(9) 10 Barrel's "Pray for Snow" Winter Ale
